Our vision is to craft a pegboard that serves as both a functional work of furniture and a piece inspired by tangible heritage. This pegboard could act as a bridge, connecting the rich tapestry traditions of the Balkan region with the contemporary design scene, preserving and promoting this unique cultural legacy. This project invites individuals to explore the tapestry of their everyday experiences and make the most of the overlaps between them.
Kilim Inspired Pegboard is not just a piece of furniture;
It's a dynamic expression of how design can adapt to the complexities of modern life. It offers users the power to transform any space into an environment that supports their unique needs, whether it's for work, play, education, or simply finding moments inspiration.
Kilim project takes its primary inspiration from the patterns and motifs found in traditional Balkan tapestries, with a focus on those hailing from the Croatia and Vojvodina region. These patterns, renowned for their complexity and beauty, are adapted to fit the pegboard's design, offering a fusion of traditional craft and modern functionality.
